Winnipeg’s Contemporary Dancers is a not for profit organization and a registered charity, dedicated to contemporary dance.  The company creates, produces, presents, teaches, and promotes contemporary dance with a view to advance the art form for professional artists and audiences alike.Founded by Rachel Browne, the company was initiated in 1964,  and is Canada’s oldest, and longest running, contemporary dance company.

WCD is thrilled to commission Jera Wolfe to create his first work for WCD! Dora Mavor Moore award winner, Jera Wolfe, is a choreographer and performer of Métis heritage and Associate Artist with Red Sky Performance. Featuring a cast of Winnipeg dancers and lighting design by Hugh Conacher.
