Join us for a  two part pay what you can workshop about all things Fruit Tree Pruning!

Spadina Museum Orchard  285 Spadina Rd, Toronto, ON M5R 2V5

On Wednesday June 1st at 7:30pm we will spend 2 hours online learning pruning theory. A zoom link will be shared with attendees after registration. This workshop will be followed by an in-person training on Saturday June 4th at 11am at Spadina Orchard where we will spend 2 hours outside learning fruit tree pruning skills. Please bring your personal pair of pruners, a notebook and pen and weather appropriate clothing as we will be working outside in rain or shine. You will Learn:- When and why to prune fruit trees- The difference between winter and summer pruning- Using pruning tools and techniques and how to structure your tree.Open to ALL- Tree Registrants with fruit trees- Community orchard growers- Fruit Tree enthusiast!Hosted by Orchard People's Susan Poizner, an Orchardist of the fruit tree care website OrchardPeople.com. Susan is the author of the award-winning fruit tree care book Growing Urban Orchards and of the new quick-read book Grow Fruit Trees Fast. Don't have any quality pruning equipment tools?
