Nitrogen - Soil Test Interpretation

The BC Climate Agri-Solutions Fund (CAF) provides funding to help farmers tackle climate change by adopting beneficial managing practices (BMPs) in three specific areas: Nitrogen Management, Cover Cropping and Rotational Grazing. CAF is funded by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada through the On-Farm Climate Action Fund and delivered by the Investment Agriculture Foundation of BC.

Join us for a 2-hr virtual workshop on nitrogen management!

Join Dru Yates (Consultant, E.S. Cropconsult Ltd.) and Josh Andrews (Nutrient Management Specialist, BCMAF) for a 2-hr virtual workshop on nitrogen management. In this workshop, participants will:<ul><li>Apply the Four R’s of nutrient management to field vegetable scenarios (with a focus on the south coast of BC),</li><li>Interpret post-harvest nitrate test values,</li><li>Navigate the BC Nutrient Management Calculator (with a focus on nitrogen), and</li><li>Work through case study examples and fill out worksheets – so come prepared for a “hands-on” experience, in spite of the virtual setting!</li></ul>Workshop Dates:<ul><li>Tuesday, February 7, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM</li><li>Wednesday, February 15, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM</li></ul>*﻿Please note that you only need to register for one date.
