Want to contribute to community social good? We are developing a exciting social enterprise and need your help!

About this Event

Pacific Immigrant Resource Society (PIRS), a non-profit organization, is hosting a social non-tech Hackathon to solve the problem of childcare for immigrant women and newcomer families. Namely, how to create a social enterprise model that:

a) provides childcare services to non-profit;

b) employs immigrant women; and

c) is profitable or financially sustainable.

We need dynamic individuals like you! Individuals who come from different backgrounds and have a variety of skills. So if you are a start-up entrepreneur, programming stars, business people, accounting personnel, university students and creative people, please join us for this one-day event.

With your help, we can come together and create a social enterprise that will build a better future for our children and employ newcomer women.

- Mini Hackathon for school aged children will be hosted by East Van Kids S.T.E.A.M.

On the next day, March 3rd we will expanding and building on the selected social enterprise ideas. We welcome all participants that are interested to join us.
