Northbound Gallery Reception: Constructing Liminal Space

Join us at the Toronto Centre for the Arts for the opening reception of KIN Collective's exhibition, Constructing Liminal Space. The exhibition is part of North York Arts' Northbound Gallery Program and is free to the public with RSVP.
KIN Collective is comprised of artists Jieun June Kim and Marina Nazarova whose works reflect the duality of the "in-between" space where their identities collide such as realities and dreams, past and present life. 
Constructing Liminal Space portrays the personal dilemma of being an immigrant and the impactful relocation on individual identity. Their immigration experiences have compelled them to straddle the boundary between their homes in Korea and Russia (respectively), and their new home in Canada, with artworks that explore unusual perspectives and abstract spaces. 
KIN Collective is one of nine artists-groups that were jury selected for Northbound's 2019 gallery season. Northbound is an initiative of North York Arts to to highlight newcomer, emerging, and first-generation artists, as well as those with connections to North York.
The  reception will be held at the Lower Gallery located at the TCA from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. It will include a cash bar and light refreshments. The reception is free, but members of the public are to RSVP.
