Will we experience 100% totality?

Toronto will only have a partial eclipse. Depending on where you are, the viewing experience will be quite different. In Toronto and other areas where the partial eclipse will be visible, you should use a projection viewer or safety-rated solar glasses at ALL times.

Will solar eclipse- viewing glasses be provided?

Yes, attendees will be provided with ISO-rated solar goggles at the event.

How do I get there via transit?

From Wilson TTC station, bus #184 will take you to Gilley Road, at Garratt Blvd. Walk north on Garrat Blvd, which turns into Hanover Road. Hangar Skate will be on the north side of the road.

Will there be parking available?

Yes, parking is available, free of charge, onsite at 30 Hanover Road.

Will there be washrooms available?

Yes. There will be portable restrooms on site.

Complimentary light refreshments will be offered, from a local business.

What is a solar eclipse?

A total solar eclipse (or if you are in Toronto this year, a near-total eclipse) occurs when the moon moves between Earth and the sun – enveloping the view of the sun entirely, depending on where you are viewing it from.
