November Green Drinks

The London Environmental Network (LEN) builds strong, stable & resilient organizations so they can be more effective at creating positive change over the long term.We are also a doorwayinto the environmental non-profit sector so Londoners can learn about environmental efforts in our city and how they can get involved.

November Green Drinks will be taking place on Tuesday, November 27th, from 6:00-8:00pm, at The Wave at Western University in the UCC Building. This event is hosted in collaboration with the Masters of Environment and Sustainability (MES) program, and will feature a talk titled Sustainability Initiatives at Western: From Bee City to O-Week by MES students Laura Pendlebury and Rachel Brown. 
Green Drinks is an organic, self-organising network of people interested in talking about environmentally related topics. We hope you can join us to chat with like-minded neighbours, learn more about what Western University is doing to create a ‘greener’ campus, and connect with other people interested in growing a healthier, more sustainable city! 
About the Masters of Environment and Sustainability (MES) Program:
The MES program is designed to focus and develop intellectual and practical skills for the application and advancement of environmental sciences and sustainability in scientific, business, industrial and policy sectors. It is a fast-paced, dynamic, course-based interdisciplinary program created for students interested in equipping themselves with the skills and experience needed to compete for an entry level position as an environmental professional with a potential for leadership in industry, a non-governmental organization, or a government department. Students in the program will have sufficient formal education at the undergraduate and possibly graduate level and/or work experience. With this depth of knowledge in place, they will seek to better understand the interdisciplinary and complex nature of environmental problems through course work, group work, professional development workshops and practical work experiences.

We highly recommend the use of appropriate equipment to keep your cycling experience safe, including a helmet, reflectors, lights, and a lock. There are bike racks outside of the venue. 
Bus Routes: The Wave at the UCC Building at Western University is very accessible by public transit. Many bus routes stop at Alumni Hall, which is a short walk to the UCC. <A HREF="http://www.londontransit.ca/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Check out the LTC website to map your route.</A>
Carpool: If biking & busing are unavailable options for you, we encourage you to seek out carpooling opportunities. Feel free to post in our Facebook Event Page to ask or offer rides to November Green Drinks!
Parking: If you are driving, parking is available at Alumni Hall and the Social Sciences Building for $3 per hour.
