Join us to hear stunning choral music about the Ocean on Saturday, May 3, 2025, or on Sunday May 4, 2025 beginning at 3:00pm at St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, 1701 Elgin Road.You'll hear the voices of those who work on the waves, live along the shoreline, and swim beneath the surface. The Ocean itself will even be heard singing its own unique, ethereal, and eternal song.Featuring The Secret of the Sea by Jake Runestad, plus sea shanties, Celtic harmonies, and music by Kathleen Allan, Andrew Balfour, Stan Rogers, Eric Whitacre, and the stunning piece 'Walvisnota' (Whale Melodies) by South African composer Franco Prinsloo.Artistic Director Kathryn Whitney leads a 70-voice choir with special guests the Emily Carr String Quartet in this unique and engaging program of richly evocative choral music.$30 general admission, $20 studentsNOTE 1: Children who are 12 and under will be admitted for free.Join us!
