High (Proof) Tea
Odd Society is pleased to partner with chef Tobias Grignon and host Toby Neumann of Rabbits Foot Culinary to present a unique afternoon tea experience on Mother’s Day, Sunday May 12<A TARGET="_blank" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">.</A>
A delightful arrangement of intricate bites* will be served along with a choice of warming teas and imaginative cocktails rooted in authentic flavour profiles including fermented, smoked, nutty, green, floral and sweet. 
Afternoon tea was originally considered a short break from work or a way to help pass the long afternoon hours with nibbles and sips, and some light conversation. In keeping with the tradition of a leisurely food event that takes place sometime between lunch and supper, two seatings are offered for High (Proof) Tea: 12:30pm and 3:00pm. 
High (Proof) Tea Menu Thyme scone, whipped butter, rhubarb hibiscus jam Chamomile custard, caramelized honey, charcoal cracker Vegan lemon curd, kataifi, basil Tater tots, celery root, cashew cream, black pepper jam Beet crêpes, smoked trout, eggs, herbs, apples Smoked meat sandwich, beef tongue, horseradish, rye New potato and spring onion soup, bay leaf oil Vegan* Option Thyme scones, rhubarb hibiscus jam Chamomile tofu custard, caramelized honey, charcoal cracker Vegan lemon curd, kataifi, basil Tater tots, celery root, cashew cream, black pepper jam Mushrooms and sunchoke “tartare,” wheat berry cracker Smoked beet sandwich, walnuts, horseradish, rye New potato and spring onion soup, bay leaf oil High (Proof) Tea is priced at $42 plus tax and ticket fee per person and includes tea, savouries and sweets, and one cocktail. Tickets must be purchased in advance through eventbrite. 
*After you purchase your ticket, you will be provided with instructions on how to inform us if the vegan menu is your preference.
