Event description
This two-part global Pride event will discuss how BIPOC LGBTQ+ activists advocate and make spaces for themselves.

About this Event

This free event, taking place in honour of the anniversary of the first Pride Week in Canada in 1973, will occur across two panels. This event is a co-production between Museum Professionals of Colour, Dulcina Abreu, and the International Coalition of Museum Professionals & Communities.*

Panel 1 - 11:30 am EST

  • Panelists will discuss institutional responses to the Black Lives Matter movement and how they are mobilizing to respond and demand their rights

Panel 2 - 3:00 pm EST

  • Panelists will discuss how LGBTQ+ BIPOC folx have created sanctuaries and mutual aid for themselves through online spaces
