Event description

Description

As one of its four interconnected goals in its renewed vision for education, the Ministry of Education promotes and supports the well-being of students. They are currently engaging their partners (e.g., parents, staff, community etc.) on this important work and are asking for feedback from across the province on their Engagement Paper, Well-Being in Our Schools: Strength in our Society.

PIC and WRAPSC (the Waterloo Region Assembly of Public School Councils) are hosting a session for parents to discuss the Engagement Paper and gather feedback to be sent to the Ministry. This will be an informal meeting where we discuss the issues in small groups then take some time to share our thoughts with the larger assembly. You can find a copy of the Ministry's Engagement Paper on student well-being here.

Please note:

  • child care will not be provided.
  • all feedback will be sent to the Ministry.
  • if you are unable to attend, feedback can be submitted to www.ontario.ca/studentwellbeing or can be sent to wrapsc@gmail.com and pic@wrdsb.on.ca for inclusion in our report to the Ministry. Any feedback to be included in our report must be received by February 15.
