Look to patients first, and build a game changing Open Biobank.The Neuro’s C-BIG Repository is collecting biological samples and clinical data from patients and volunteers to empower cutting-edge research that will advance the understanding, diagnosis and treatment development for neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Multiples Sclerosis. Powerful datasets will be available to researchers worldwide, and will respect strict ethical requirements, empowering patients to take an active role in Open Science and participate in advancing research. How can patients contribute to the better understanding of their own diseases? How does an open biobank work? How can you contribute to it or access it? How is open science breaking down barriers to accelerate discovery? Join us for this first Open Science webinar with a physician and a patient who will discuss this unique collaboration and the scientific, personal, technical and ethical challenges of an open access biobank that could potentially save lives.
