This Black Mental Health Day, BSSE is teaming up with Kym Niles from Make Ur Mark, for an interactive workshop like no other!

Join <a href="https://humber.ca/bsse/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">BSSE</a> &amp; <a href="https://makeurmark.ca/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Make Ur Mark</a> for an interactive workshop infused with martial arts, movement and mentorship, designed to enable students in developing their skill set in overcoming the mental and systemic challenges that life presents. This workshop emphasizes the importance of purpose, intention and trust. Students will learn:<ul><li>how to overcome mental blocks</li><li>self-regulation </li><li>self-efficacy </li><li>mental health care tips</li><li>self-care </li></ul>Students need to be prepared; dressed in workout/comfortable clothing and can bring their own water, etc. However, the following will be provided:<ul><li>exercise equipment </li><li>snacks (including a discussion on nutrition, fueling your body with healthy foods) </li><li>water/water bottles</li><li>yoga mats</li></ul>Please note: although we appreciate our allies, this event was curated specifically for Black identifying students.
