In this nonfiction anthology, writers and artists from different backgrounds explore their complex relationships to fibre arts and the intersection of creative practice and identity, technology, climate change, trauma, politics, chronic illness, and disability. We'll have a lively conversation about the book, and attendees will receive a customizable tote featuring the commissioned artwork of Holly Sabourin. Holly is an artist from Kátł’odeeche First Nation in Hay River, Northwest Territories. For the past several years, Holly has worked at the Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts .A﻿llison Tunis hosts, and panelists include Marita Daschsel, Nancy Lee and Ciara Farmer. Before the panel discussion, from 5pm - 6pm, attendees are invited to participate in an hour of crafting in the Alberta Craft space - personalizing their tote bags using a fun mix of supplied materials .
