Join us for an evening of discussing the challenges of parenting during a pandemic.

Parenting in Uncertain Times; How are you managing? Right now we are living through a Pandemic. Adults are working from home, students are juggling in-person and online school challenges and everyone is feeling the pressure of isolation and feeling anxious during these uncertain times.Meal time and routines are out the window, our children’s use of screen time and video gaming has increased ( but gives us a break) and chaos in the family home has become the norm. In this workshop, we will talk about what is happening within us as individuals during this pandemic, then examine how we parent our children as a result. Come prepared to engage and share, while we discuss practical strategies for survival. This workshop will be led by Marsha L. Hibbert; Marsha has done mental health workshops and parenting workshop for Parents of Black Children over the last two years. Marsha specializes in Child psychotherapy and Parenting support. Marsha is a compassionate, non-judgemental and empathic person, who welcomes all people to her practice. Through the use of integrated modalities such as mindfulness, strengths-based, solution-focused, trauma-informed, family therapy and psychoanalytic psychotherapies. Marsha is a therapist in private practice in York Region who works with children, youth, adults and families. Marsha holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree (BSW) from Ryerson Polytechnic University, and a Master of Social Work degree from The University of Toronto (MSW) specializing in Clinical Social Work with Children and their Families. Marsha is a Registered Social Worker/Psychotherapist with good standing with the Ontario College of Social Work and Social Services Workers, the Ontario Association of Social Workers and the Canadian Association of Psychoanalytic Child Therapists.
