An immersive experience for African community members considering a career in policing.

Due to interest from the community, the Calgary Police Service (CPS) Recruiting Team is hosting Pathways to Policing for members of the African community interested in a career in policing.

This second annual event will provide an opportunity for people from the African community considering a career in policing to interact with CPS officers and learn about the application process, required skills and fitness standards through interactive activities.

The half-day event provides a glimpse into a rewarding career as a police officer through the following activities:

  • Recruiting Information Session
  • High-intensity fitness activities

Space is limited to 60 participants.

Eligibility: Participants must be at least 18 years of age and a member of the African community.

You will be asked to provide your date of birth to complete your registration so that the CPS can conduct a background check. All participants must undergo a background check to access restricted areas at CPS facilities.
