9 week improv workshop series, culminating in a student performance showcase!

Pinch presents:

The Longform Performance Ensemble series with director Ben Gorodetsky!

Eight weeks of improv workshops with an ensemble of hilarious, creative folks. Develop your trust, listening, storytelling, comedic timing and group mind through a total of 21 hours of hands-on learning.

The series culminates on the ninth week in a student showcase to celebrate your fresh improv skills in front of a real live audience!

Enrolement capped at 8 participants for a more focused ensemble experience!

Prerequisites:

In order to perform with the Pinch Improv Performance Ensemble you need to have taken classes with Pinch before.

Comparable experience with other improv schools or ensembles may be accepted, please email Ben@PinchCabaret.com directly to inquire.

About the instructor:

Ben Gorodetsky is an improviser, director, and educator based in Kitchener, Ontario. They are curator and host of Pinch Cabaret, KW's BEST LOCAL EVENT, as voted by the readers of the Waterloo Chronicle. Ben is co-creator of political satire comedy duo Folk Lordz (VICE) and has performed, taught, and directed improvisation at The Magnet Theatre (NYC), Out of Bounds Comedy (Austin), UCB (LA), Highwire Comedy (Atlanta), English Lovers (Vienna), IGLU (Ljubljana), FERIIR (Reunion Island), Bad Dog (Toronto), and Blind Tiger (Vancouver). His performance work has been presented by The Art Gallery of Ontario, CAFKA, Lumen Fest, Movement Research at Judson Church, The Tank NYC, Mile Zero Dance, Brian Webb Dance Company, Expanse Festival of Movement Arts, Rubaboo Festival, Guelph Dance Festival, SpringWorks, and the Gas Station Arts Centre. Ben is the former Associate Artistic Director of Rapid Fire Theatre a nominee for a Canadian Comedy Award. They teach at UWaterloo and hold an MFA from Brooklyn College-CUNY and a BFA from the University of Alberta.
