Pine Street Pollinator Garden

Learn how you can support pollinator habitat with this hands-on workshop. The morning will include a talk by Christine Thuring, President of the Native Bee Society of BC, as well as walking tour of the Pine Street Pollinator Garden and the Pine Street blue-green systems, both of which are Seeding Stewardship sites.Seeding Stewardship is a new program from City of Vancouver and Parks Board that provides opportunities for members of the community to steward nature-based solutions such as rain gardens and pollinator meadows. These spaces bring nature into the city, helping to clean and manage rainwater, cool the urban environment, encourage biodiversity, and make a more liveable city.This year, we have 7 sites looking for leaders and urban nature lovers to support them. We're also launching the Reciprocity Fund, which can provide up to $2000 in funding to support activate and steward your community space. Join us for this workshop and to learn more about this exciting new program!
