· With a heavy emphasis on flavor, this class aims to show you ways to prepare tasty, quick and easy meals that will leave you feeling nourished.
· Bring your appetite! I will be demonstrating 4 quick dishes, showing you how just an hour or 2 in the kitchen can have several meals made for you and your family. With a little bit of planning, you can have your fridge stocked up for days to come with healthy tasty meals!
· You will come out of this class with knowledge of:
· Making a flavorful soup from scratch
· The basics of a great salad dressing – which can be tweaked to take on almost endless flavor combinations. With this skill, you can easily and affordably bring vibrant life to any veggies/grains/legumes etc
· We will also discuss cooking/working legumes and whole grains – soaking/sprouting will be mentioned
Justin is a Professionally Trained Chef, Holistic Nutrition Consultant, and Student of Herbal Medicine. He specializes in cooking with natural, whole foods, and is a passionate advocate of a plant based diet. His goal is to bring natural living into the mainstream, while focusing on environmental, economic, and social sustainability. Justin loves to share his passions with others, through cooking, as well as teaching.
Justin teaches workshops and cooking classes, and works with people one on one, helping them develop personalized nutrition and meal plans. He works closely with Local Farms, using whatever fresh goodies they have in season, and has started to get into harvesting wild foods! Justin hopes to inspire others to walk the green path, eat with the seasons, and live mindfully.
