Join us in the University of Calgary’s community garden for a fun-filled afternoon of activities to learn about local pollinators!

University of Calgary Community Garden

Come celebrate pollinators with us during Pollinator Week! Take part in a variety of fun activities and learn how you can support and protect pollinators in your community. Activities<ul><li> Explore campus, take photographs of bees, plants, or other animals. Share your observations using iNaturalist during our University of Calgary BioBlitz.</li></ul><ul><li>Learn how to make and bring home your own bee box to provide habitat for native bees with the Alberta Native Bee Council!</li></ul><ul><li>Plant a variety of native plants for pollinators in the Campus Community Garden.</li></ul><ul><li>View a sample of the university's digital bee collection. </li></ul><ul><li>Discover how you can support habitat for native bees and learn about current research related to pollinators.</li></ul>3:30pm to 6:00pm <ul><li>Bee box information and workshop with the Alberta Native Bee Council.</li><li>Planting of native plants in community garden.</li><li>Campus BioBlitz (Instructions and guide books will be provided). </li><li>Interactive displays and information about pollinators from experts at the University of Calgary. </li><li>Light snacks and refreshments.</li></ul>PLEASE REGISTER FOR THE BEE BOX WORKSHOP HERE:https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/bee-box-workshop-tickets-62921710530
