Pollinator Gardens

Toronto Botanical Garden connects people to plants and inspires us to live in harmony with nature. Our gardens conveniently located in mid-Toronto are open daily from dawn until dusk, and admission is free. The gardens seemlessly connect with Edwards Gardens, Wilket Creek and the Don Valley Ravine. We also offer year-round learning opportunities for all ages both inperson and online.

What is a pollinator garden and why should you plant one? Join Toronto Master Gardener Helen Battersby to learn about winning ways to help pollinators thrive. The presentation will cover pollinators, the needs of a pollinator garden, the distinguishing characteristics of pollinator plants, as well as recommendations for specific plants and how to care for a pollinator garden.About Toronto Master Gardener Helen BattersbyHelen is a graduate of Ryerson&#x27;s Landscape Design program and in 2022 celebrates her 17th year as a volunteer with the Toronto Master Gardeners. She has contributed writing and images to Garden Making and Trellis magazines, and US online publication GardenDesign.com. With her sister, Sarah, she writes the award-winning TorontoGardens.com and publishes the Toronto &amp; Golden Horseshoe Gardener’s Journal. Online Program AccessPlease note that this program is being hosted live ONLINE only. It will not be recorded, and it will only be available on Zoom at the scheduled time.
