Prototyping Forum

RDR is a charitable non-profit organization in Region of Peel, ON, Canada that is committed to building diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) competency in the human services sector. Our objective is to institutionalize DEI in core values, structures, workforces, policies, and services through a collective impact framework. By engaging in cross-sectoral collaboration, we support the public, non-profit and social services sector. We build capacity through training, workshops, and conferences, alongside offering multiple other DEI resources to ensure organizations are not only equipped to serve a diverse clientele but also that the diverse communities are reflected in all aspects of organizations.

The Regional Diversity Roundtable

The Regional Diversity Roundtable (RDR) invites you to participate in a Prototyping Forum for our BIPD ARAO-DEI Program!

As part of RDR&#x27;s Building Inclusive Practices and Developing Anti-Racist, Anti-Oppressive, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (BIPD ARAO-DEI) Program, we will be hosting a Prototyping Forum with key stakeholders from our community. If you identify as a newcomer, immigrant, refugee, settlement sector representative, employer and/or Peel resident, join us on Monday, March 7th, 2022 from 10 am to 1 pm for our prototyping forum.While participants are not required to have attended RDR&#x27;s Design Thinking Forum, the Prototyping Forum will build upon the conversations and experiences that were collectively shared in the Design Thinking Forum. With guidance from Dr. Christopher Anand, Associate Professor of Computing and Software at McMaster University and Dr. Robert Fleisig, Associate Professor at the W Booth School of Engineering Practice and Technology at McMaster University, participants will explore solutions to settlement challenges through prototype designs collectively. Participants will receive an invitation containing a Zoom link and event information closer to the date. Honorarium of $25 will be provided for newcomers, immigrants and refugees who qualify as per Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) criteria.NOTE: Seats are limited; registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
