Pruning is a lot easier than you think it is. In this presentation I'll distill pruning down into basic steps that anyone can follow. Once you understand how plants grow, and how they respond to a cut, you will know exactly how to prune your trees and shrubs. I'll take the fear out of cutting parts of your plant off.
The focus will be on maintenance pruning that will keep your woody ornamental plants looking natural and flowering well.

Robert Pavlis is a well-known speaker, and educator with over 40 years of gardening experience. He is the author of two books, Building Natural Ponds, and Garden Myths and publishes the popular gardening blogs; GardenMyths.com and GardenFundamentals.com. As the owner and head gardener of Aspen Grove Gardens, a six-acre botanical garden, he grows 3,000 varieties of plants.
