Pruning (in-person)

Located behind Humber College's North campus, the Humber Arboretum consists of botanical gardens and natural areas surrounding the western branch of the Humber River. It features hundreds of labelled plant specimens and over six kilometers of walking trails through wooded areas, meadows, and wetlands. The Centre for Urban Ecology is a LEED Gold certified facility that demonstrates sustainability in urban spaces. It provides a home for the Humber Arboretum's year-round environmental and outdoor education programs and serves as a venue for workshops, meetings and other special events.

<p>Join Etobicoke Master Gardeners and the Humber Arboretum for a free workshop on Pruning. We willtake a hands-on look at pruning fundamentals, learn about the importance of pruning, proper pruningtechniques and some of the common tools and tool care. Specific examples of what plants to prune andwhen to prune them will be demonstrated. You are encouraged to bring in your favorite secateurs  (pruner) if you want to sharpen them and practice a cut or two!</p>
