For 2024 -25 we’re popping up around the city at seven different locations!

For our 2024 -25 season we’re popping up around the city at seven different locations on the first Saturday afternoon, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm of each month (with the exception of December, February and June). Planning on attending all seven Puppet Pop Ups? Save your tickets and present them at our June Family Puppet Festival Day for FREE entry! <h3>Puppet Pop Up - Silly Scarecrows</h3>Celebrate the changing seasons and let your imagination soar with artist, Jenny Dale Stables. Using scrap fabric, strings, paper, and sticks, create your own one-of-a-kindscarecrow rod puppet! Then bring that silly scarecrow to life by performing the poem, “Five Stuffed Scarecrows.”Facilitator: Jenny Stables (she/her) BFA, BEd is an experienced multi-disciplinary artist and art educator who delights in creating whimsical characters and stories through puppetry. She is passionate about sharing puppetry arts in schools with students and teachers alike. Designated spaces are available for visitors with disabilities. The museums are located at 4520 Crowchild Trail SW, Calgary, AB T2T 5J4Public Transit: Four bus stops are within three blocks of The Military Museums. Take 7 or 107 South Calgary, 13 Mount Royal, or 63 Lakeview Express. Six additional Calgary Transit bus stops are within six blocks of The Military Museums. Take 18 Lakeview, 20 Heritage/Northmount, 181 MRC North Express or 182 MRC South Express.Venue Accessibility: The Military Museums is accessible to wheelchair users.Cost: Tickets are $10.00 per person. Tickets for card holders are $5.00 per person with code "CCAF50" and card holders will be asked to present their cards at the door.If you identify a different challenge to attendance please contact us – we recognize our limitations as a small organization.Donations: These allow us to keep our fees affordable! Please add a little extra, 'pay it forward', if you can. Donations over $20 will receive a charitable tax receipt.Fine Print:<ul><li>All materials, tools and instruction supplied at no extra cost.</li><li>Suitable for ages 5+.</li><li>EVERY* person attending is required to purchase a ticket.</li><li>*With the exception of babes-in-arms and care-workers .</li><li>Tickets sales end 24 hours before the event starts.</li><li>Minimum of 5 people are required to run the workshop.</li><li>Waiting list is enabled and you will be contacted if a space comes free or we decide to run the workshop again.</li><li>WPTS reserves the right to cancel via email notification with 24 hours notice.</li><li>If WPTS cancels, tickets will be refunded less service fees.</li><li>If guests cancel up to seven days before the event tickets will be refunded less service fees. If guests cancel with less than seven days before the event, or do not attend, no refund will be offered. A tax receipt can be issued upon request.</li></ul>
