Queer Conversations
A welcoming, world café-style discussion space created for members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community to connect, reflect, and support one another.
Every second month we will gather in a relaxed and inclusive environment to explore meaningful topics related to queer identity, mental health, wellness, and thriving within our communities. Whether you're looking to share your experiences, listen, or simply be in community with others, this space is for you.
April’s Discussion Topic:
Cultivating Healthy Relationships within the 2SLGBTQIA+ Community
Together we’ll explore what healthy relationships can look like within queer communities, including friendships, chosen family, romantic relationships, and community connections. Through open conversation and shared experiences, we aim to build understanding, compassion, and stronger support networks.
What to Expect: World Café Style Conversation format
Seating: 4–5 people per table, 3-4 groups total. One central topic or theme, at least 3-4 questions to answer relating to the topic.
Rounds: At least three, time permitting, 20 minutes of conversation each.
Focus: Questions or issues that matter to your life, mental health, wellness or community.
Capture Ideas: Write, doodle, or note key points on paper.
Rotate: After each round, one “table host” stays; others move to share ideas with new tables.
Connect: Each round builds links across tables; ideas and insights cross-pollinate.
Final Round: Return to your first table or continue traveling to synthesize discoveries.
Wrap-Up: Whole-group discussion to share patterns, insights, and what we learned from others
This event is open to 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals who want to engage respectfully and thoughtfully in community conversation. Come as you are, bring a friend if you'd like, and join us for an evening of connection and meaningful dialogue.
Spaces may be limited, so please register to reserve your spot.
