We are the Turning Point Ensemble, a sixteen-member (plus conductor) ensemble based in Vancouver, BC. The mission of the Turning Point Ensemble (TPE) is to present music across genres and time periods for large ensemble in innovative contexts: intersecting with multiple art forms, engaging diverse listening communities, and enlivening local, national, and international audiences. Our primary focus is on music of the last 125 years with a special emphasis on creating links to new music and new repertoire. We seek to present our large chamber ensemble of sixteen core players in innovative contexts that include multidisciplinary performance projects, cutting-edge applications of technology, recordings, national and international touring, and educational initiatives in the community.

<P>Led by conductor Owen Underhill, the musicians of Turning Point will offer a stunning selection of music from four great composers. They will be joined by soloists Estelle Lemire and Genevieve Grenier both performing on the ondes martenot. Following up on our sold-out concert for the 2017 World New Music Days, we are very excited to offer this exciting concert for Vancouver audiences. </P>
