<h3>THIS MONTH&#x27;S TOPIC:</h3><p>Troubleshooting High Frame Vibrations in Large Reciprocating Compressors</p><h3>PRESENTER:</h3><p>Alexandre Gauthier ING. P.ENG. - APM(RAW) Rotating Equipment Specialist for Suncor </p><h3>ABSTRACT:</h3><p>Alexandre Gauthier has been working in the oil and gas industry since 2005. Along his journey, he specialized and developed a strong expertise in rotating equipment’s condition monitoring, vibration analysis, troubleshooting and asset repair. He is working at Suncor Energy in a central assets condition monitoring group as a Senior Rotating Equipment engineer. He graduated from Sherbrooke University in 2005 with a mechanical engineering degree. He is a CMVA member since 2009 and holds a CAT 3 certification from them. He also has Vibration Analysis CAT 4 certification from Mobius Institute, since January 2021. </p><p>This case study will present a step by step analysis approach on a reciprocating compressor trip event on high frame vibration from the vibration data signature review, to hypothesis and scope of work and finally inspection findings.</p><h3>ABOUT RATS TECHNICAL SESSIONS</h3><p>These Technical Sessions are open to all people involved with the industrial rotating equipment industry, including (but not limited to): Engineers, technologists, specialists, technicians, millwrights, planners, managers, projects, students, retirees, vendors, and those in transition.</p><h3>MISSION</h3><p>RATS&#x27; mission is to build community and comradery in the rotating equipment industry by sharing acquired knowledge, fostering education, and career development, through organized events with the support of industry sponsorship.</p><p>https://rotatingspecialist.org/</p><p>https://www.linkedin.com/company/rotating-and-turbomachinery-society/</p>

<h2>Community Support</h2><p>At each Technical Sessions event, we will raffle off a door-prize, provided by the featured presenter. Each REGISTERED attendee will get (1) entry into the draw with the option to purchase additional entries for $5 each to increase your chances of winning.  ALL funds raised will be split between the two chosen organizations (WIN House and Veterans Association Food Bank) at the end of the year.</p>
