Reconciliation Training - 2022

Online course:  Four Seasons of Reconciliation Training (4 CE credits - BAO Category A)

Participants are welcome to work through this training at their own pace from receipt of the link to the training until December 31, 2022 at 4pm. The link to complete the second step of registration for the training will be automatically emailed from this Eventbrite site after you buy your ticket. ***BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR JUNK MAILBOX IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE AN EMAIL IMMEDIATELY***. Also note that the last day to purchase tickets for this event is December 9, 2022. Humber’s Funeral Service Education (FSE) – Continuing Education (CE) division is excited to announce the return of this CE training for 2022. Positive feedback from participants who completed this training in 2021 resulted in its return for 2022. Please note that it is the same training that was offered in 2021 so, if you have already completed it as part of your 2021 CE training, you cannot use it again in 2022. This training provides the heart-wrenching truth about Canadian history, but what makes this training so incredible is the tone with which it was created. Reflecting Indigenous Peoples’ perspective on the relationship they have with those who came to their land generations ago, the information is presented with a refreshing tone of love, forgiveness and a keen desire to take steps toward a bright future together. Being that this training is one that has been mandated by the federal government, we are hopeful that all our nation’s bereavement professionals from coast, to coast, to coast will complete it while it is being offered by Humber’s FSE-CE. We see no better way to demonstrate to our communities our level of empathy and our professionalism as death care providers than to be able to say we undertook this as a priority.
