Reflecting Back - Envisioning the Future!

Our prime focus is on local labour force development. The East Central Ontario Training Board conducts research, data collection, consultation, analysis and reports on the local workforce requirements. Based on our findings, we work with our community partners to develop events, projects,activities and resources that are timely and appropriate to our local needs.

East Central Ontario Training Board

In 1997, many of the Local Boards were formed through a partnership with Ontario Training and Adjustment Board (OTAB), Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC), Canadian Labour Force Development Board (CLFDB) and the Ministry of Education and Training (MET). On January 22, 1997, the East Central Ontario Training Board (ECTOB) was formally incorporated with the goal to help enhance the development of the local workforce. Today we are one of 26 Boards across the Province that are at the centre of tackling local workforce issues. 
As we move into our 21st year of operation, the Board wants to share with the community the great work we have done over the past 20 years. We invite you to join us as we reminisce about our work in the local communities.

Of course not!! We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and will be recognizing our current Board members for their dedication and time.....

How about we recognize some of our community partners from over the years? By presenting four recognition awards to our partners, one in each of the following categories: Community Organization, Non-profit/Association, General Partnership and Business Partner. The organizations that have been selected have helped provide direction to youth, job seekers and employers in our community and their input has been invaluable!

Yes, our Board has been keeping a secret and working on something special that we are excited to share with you. Guess you will just have to be there to find out!
