Alongside one another, we use art and creativity to engage in the moment, sparking curiosity, inspiration, personal insights, and growth!

This is a 6 week virtual expressive arts and mental wellness group for Adults 18+ on Monday evenings from 7 - 8:45 pm EST.Refresh Through Expressive Arts is a virtual group where we explore and expand our creativity to improve and support our mental wellness. Each session focuses on a theme, using various art materials to discover our unique forms of expression and gain personal insights. We create alongside each other, forming meaningful connections with ourselves in the present moment. Together, we use the creative process to energize, relax, and inspire, nurturing our curiosity, wonder, and imagination. We encourage an support each other, holding space for our experiences, stories, and creative journeys.No previous art making experience is required.Location - Virtual sessions over ZOOMDates - Mondays from 7 - 8:45 pm EST<ol><li>Monday, October 28</li><li>Monday, November 4</li><li>Monday, November 11</li><li>Monday, November 18</li><li>Monday, November 25</li><li>Monday, December 2</li></ol>Sliding Scale CostRefresh Through Expressive Arts costs $180 for 6 sessions. We are suggesting different sliding scale options to reduce barriers for participation starting at $60 for all 6 sessions.If cost is a barrier to participation, please contact, adultprograms@artwithaheart.ca. We encourage you to reach out, as we strive to make these programs as accessible as possible!MaterialsParticipants are invited to use any art materials they may already have available. We will send out a general list of suggested materials but you are encouraged to use the materials of your choice for each session! Any other supplies you may need are to be purchased on your own and can be found at the dollar store, art stores, or you can purchase them through Art With A Heart.Some examples of material options include but not limited to:<ul><li>Drawing materials (markers, pens, pencils, chalk or oil pastels)</li><li>Painting materials (acrylic paint, water colour, paint brushes, paper, canvas)</li><li>Collage (Magazines, photographs, paper, scissors, glue)</li><li>Natural materials (rocks, leaves, flowers, twigs etc.)</li><li>Sculptural materials (air dry clay, recycled materials)</li><li>Fiber (fabric, recycled clothing, yarn, sewing needles, thread)</li></ul>
