Ball Admission
Includes admission to the ball, to enjoy live music, dancing, period refreshments, cards and other entertainments. Doors open at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early to sign in and have your portrait taken in your costume by our professional photographer.

Admission with Supper
Includes admission to the ball, as well as supper, which includes mulligatawny soup and chicken fricassee prepared according to historical recipes. Doors open for dinner at 5:30. (Dietary restrictions can be accommodated with advance notice.)

Admission with Vegetarian Supper
Enjoy a meat-free meal before the ball. This ticket includes admission to the ball, as well as a vegetarian supper, including mulligatawny soup and mushroom and leek pie prepared using period recipes. Doors open at 5:30. (Other dietary restrictions can be accommodated with advance notice).

Dance Lessons
This includes the Dance Workshop on February 21, 1-4 pm, and the Dance Refresher on February 27, 1-2:30 pm at Dance Code Studio, 10575 115 St. Arrive at the ball ready and able to join in the dancing, just as you would have done in Jane Austen's time. Open to all. No partner or dance experience required. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle. Dances we will learn and practice are: The Spaniard, The Duke of Kent's Waltz, Zephyrs and Flora, Haymakers, Indian Queen, Hole in the Wall, and Mr. Beveridge's Maggot.

Dance Workshop
February 21, 1-4 pm at Dance Code Studio, 10575 115 St. Learn the dances for the ball, just as Lizzie Bennett would have danced them! No partner or dance experience required. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle. Dances we will learn and practice are: The Spaniard, The Duke of Kent's Waltz, Zephyrs and Flora, Haymakers, Indian Queen, Hole in the Wall, and Mr. Beveridge's Maggot.

February 27, 1-2:30 pm at Dance Code Studio, 10575 115 St, review and practice the dances learned at the Workshop. Open to all. No partner or dance experience required. Event Details

A Jane Austen style costume ball February 27 at the Hotel Macdonald, Edmonton's most beautiful historical venue. Treat yourself to live music, English country dancing, period refreshments and entertainments and all in Regency attire. Dance lessons are offered February 21, 1:00-4:00 pm and February 27, 1-2:30 pm at Dance Code Studio,10575 - 115 street.


Regency costume is mandatory, and costumes are available for rent starting at $25. Long white gloves for ladies and long socks for gentlemen are also available for purchase. Please message for details.
