Recording Foundations: May 25, room N3142, 9-11AM
Every movie has three parts: a beginning, a middle, and an end, whether it's an educational video or an Oscar-winning film. And the key to creating a successful video is Planning, Planning, and Planning. In this workshop, you will learn the importance of creating scripts and storyboards to provide a road map for your video shoot, telling the story first on paper before you commit to the logistics of shooting.

Event Details

Media creation (videos for class instruction or promotional activities, podcasts, etc.) is everywhere these days. Think YouTube, Lynda.com, the Kahn Academy. This is the new way of acquiring knowledge and delivering your message to large audiences.

The EdMedia Program consists of six workshops held over a six-week period. Enrollment is limited to ensure a meaningful hands-on experience. Participants have the opportunity to work in recording/editing studios alongside like-minded colleagues and creative professionals from Academic Technology Services. A certificate will be awarded to participants who complete the following courses; however, courses can be taken individually and accumulate towards the certificate.

Click the REGISTER link for a description of each workshop.
