In-person/campus event - Exploring a new paradigm for grief to be used in professional practise (2 CE Credits - BAO Category A)

Note that this seminar will be hosted in person on Humber&#x27;s North Campus! Parking fees are not included in the ticket price. Participants are required to pay parking fees on campus. Participants will receive an email (from this Eventbrite site) with the on-campus room location. If you want to attend this seminar virtually, please visit the separate Eventbrite site for that registration. All registrants of this in-person live event will also receive a link to the recording of the event approximately 24 hours following its completion. Marina is a dynamic speaker and engaging facilitator, and participants will find her passion for this topic infectious! It is critical that funeral professionals have a solid working knowledge of expected grief patterns and the ability to use this knowledge to improve care for grieving families. This seminar will provide participants with a new paradigm for understanding grief. Using a colour structure created by the authors of the “Remember, It’s OK” series of books, participants will gain a different understanding of grief and gain more tools for articulating grief experiences. The focus of the seminar will then shift to using this new perspective in professional practice. Although it’s not required, participants are strongly encouraged to purchase one book (approximately $30) out of the “Remember, It’s Ok” collection. This seminar will be using and referring to the “Remember, It’s OK” books as it is a hands-on, activity-based workshop in order to allow for a full understanding of this new paradigm for grief. Having your own book will serve to enhance your overall learning experience, and it does not matter which book you have. To view all books go to https://marinalreed.com/remember/ . At this site you will also see 4 “Remember, It’s OK” guidebooks, all of which are free, and it is required that participants read through Guidebook One before the seminar. “Remember, It’s OK” books are available from any bookstore, however they may need to be ordered, which could take time.
