Reusing your wax Candle workshop

Reusing your wax Candle workshop

SammieCalgary, AB
Multiple dates
Overview

In this fun, hands-on workshop, you’ll discover how to repurpose candle wax into your choice of cute candle holders.

Come spend a cozy evening at Sammie’s Café, where creativity takes center stage! In this fun, hands-on workshop, you’ll discover how to repurpose candle wax —whether soy, beeswax, or paraffin—into your own custom candle poured right into a mug or cute jar. Reusing wax and making a dual purpose item or gift is a win win.

We’ll provide mugs and other small containers, but be sure to arrive early to grab your favorite before they’re gone! If you’d like to bring a mug you’re attached to, we totally understand.... we get it. Or even reuse the jars from your reused candle wax.

After this class, you’ll feel confident reusing your own wax at home to create charming gifts for any occasion. Let’s be honest—candles can be really pricey. There’s something so satisfying about using up the leftover wax at the bottom of a jar. You can blend it into a new, larger candle or craft a small one from the remnants, ideal for adding warmth to a cozy corner or giving as a thoughtful present.

While you create, enjoy delicious café bites, curated cocktails, and warm drinks to keep you cozy and inspired. You can purchase snack boards and they will be ready for you when you arrive.

At Sammie’s Cafe, we’re creating a welcoming space for multimedia artists to connect, collaborate, and share their expertise, building a lively learning community. If you’re interested in a class that’s not listed or are an artist seeking a place to teach, reach out to our coordinator at negrecia@rogers.com with any ideas, comments, or questions. Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to meeting you.
