Will participants receive technical feedback on their writing?

No, WCC workshops do not provide technical critique. Rather, they offer empowering feedback on each writer's first draft writing.

Question 2

Can I work on my book/memoir/novel in-progress during these workshops?

Accepted Answer

No, WCC workshops focus on spontaneous in-the-moment “expressive” writing. With that said, writers of all experience often find that the courageous space of a WCC workshop inspires exciting new writing as well as helping experienced writers develop their unique voices.

Is there a charge to attend a WCC workshop?

Accepted Answer

WCC workshops are free for participants. Participants are encouraged to donate on an as-able basis.

Question 4

Can I participate if I don't identify as a writer and/or if my English/French isn't very good?

Accepted Answer

Yes. One of WCC’s core beliefs is that everyone is a writer, regardless of previous experience or education. All voices are welcome in a WCC workshop!

Question 5

Can I attend more than one workshop a week?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there is no limit to the number of workshops you attend in a week. Most workshops cap the number of attendees and they often fill up, so register as soon as you can.
