During the pandemic, we are presenting the Roadshow online, to continue to offer palliative education opportunities to Albertans.

Yet few people receive formal training on how to support children and youth who are grieving the dying or death of someone they care about. This webinar will identify common barriers to supporting children and youth who are grieving as well highlight innovative and practical strategies that can be used in a variety of settings to help children and youth integrate the illness or death into their lives in a healthy way. It will include stories and important messages from children, youth and their families that illustrate “best practice” guidelines for supporting the wellbeing of children who are grieving.<a href="https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/182062021407" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Finding Meaning in the Mess of Grief </a>- Tuesday November 16, 2021, 9:00am to 1:00pmPresenters: Dr. Jody Carrington and Jessica JanzenGrief is one of the messiest, painful, most unpredictable experiences for those of us left behind after a loss. This universal experience is not talked about nearly enough, and we want to change that. We will spend some time walking with you through both the science that lies underneath grief, why it tends to be so hard, and just how to brave those waves in even the darkest days.
