What is Rug Tufting?

Rug tufting is the formal process of creating a rug using yarn, cloth, glue and shavers. It's called tufting because the process includes the tufting gun, which punches tufts of yarn through a cloth to create a rug pattern.

Is the Workshop Suitable for Beginners?

The great news is that our Rug Tufting workshops are designed for beginners! The only thing you need to bring is a great attitude and willingness to try something new, our instructors will guide you through the rest!

What do I need to bring or prepare?

Accepted Answer

Before your workshop date, you will need to pick your design! We'll send you an email after you sign up to provide your custom design. Keep in mind that the more complicated your design is, the longer it will take to complete.

How do I choose the right rug design?

Accepted Answer

The great thing about rug tufting is you can customize your design! The more complicated your design, the longer it will take to complete so we encourage beginners to stick to a design that is simpler and about 3-4 colours.

Can children participate in this workshop?

Accepted Answer

Given that the workshop includes using an electronic gun, we limit the age of participants. We don't allow kids under 10 years old to participate.
