<h3>WTF is comedy therapy?</h3>In this 4ish hour intensive, we will begin with some juicy games that get you to OPEN UP and be honest/vulnerable about who you really are/your experiences.Most people hide the painful/challenging aspects of their lives. This is why so many beings struggle to have authentic connections. Everything is surface level.In this intensive, you’ll discover that your unique story/trauma/drama is hiding comedy gold.You'll realize that being able to authentically share those parts of your story is the deepest way to authentically connect with others.Also, laughing your ass off while sharing your *shit* is very healing.Making peace with &amp; being able to humorously share your trauma/"Fucked up shit" allows you to live your entire life in a far more authentic way.So, whether you want to just have deeper connections with people, feel more comfortable in your own skin, improve your public speaking, or actually perform stand up comedy… this is the course for you!Cost: This workshop is my service to the world, and my joy! I would like as many beings to go thru this experience as possible - money is secondary. I've seen the effects of the course, so I feel it is worth (as a minimum) $111.... however I would encourage all attendees to tune into their hearts and decide what is correct for them. <h3>How did comedy therapy start?</h3>Comedy Therapy just kind of “happened” in 2015. I was participating in one of Steve Pavlina’s workshops. It was a crazy workshop that was purposefully unplanned. All about trusting the universe and going with the flow! I offered to teach the participants how to perform stand-up comedy. They were keen, and we went for it. I shared my own story, told a few jokes, and showed the group how to discover the comedy gold in their lives – specifically in the challenging moments that they’ve been through. I gave everyone the opportunity to share part of their story to the group. At first only a couple of people volunteered, and they did great. As the night went on, more and more people shared, until eventually everyone had shared a bit of their story.Everyone was funny… And finally we were able to see the value of sharing our experiences - even the ones we thought were better left unsaid! Not only was it EXTREMELY funny - the healing experienced by the group was profound. Sharing their shit was so relieving and freeing!EVERYONE laughed their asses off – not only at everyone else’s traumatic, fucked up lives, but at their own! It was like a HUGE weight off their shoulders. Everyone felt it. I realized that I was on to something… And comedy therapy was born! After my “fluke” teaching comedy therapy in 2015, something moved in me. I had felt the power of this authentic self expression, and I knew this was something I wanted to bring to the world!<h3>What Are the Benefits of Comedy Therapy?</h3>Comedy Therapy can help to shed some much-needed light (and relief) on our stored childhood and adult trauma. Our tools? Pointing out the absurdities of being led into adulthood by completely unqualified parents. And trust me, they are all unqualified! Unless your mom and dad were fully enlightened masters, they were imperfect beings with their own limiting thoughts, patterns, traumas, and beliefs. We are often so vulnerable and eager to learn as children, that we pick up those patterns from our parents - we have no choice! Traumas happen (as a child, even thinking you’ve lost your mom in a grocery store for half a minute can be an extremely traumatic event!), and adult life is no picnic either. Shit happens, and it affects us.If you’ve been paying attention to the developments in the fields of healing/spirituality/psychology you’ll know that we’ve been consistently discovering that trauma, along with the stress it produces, is the cause of the vast majority of health problems people experienceNot only that - the constant stress and worry that comes from UNPROCESSED memories / emotions significantly reduce our ability to be in the moment and enjoy LIFE itself. That’s not useful… so why not let that stuff go in the most enjoyable way possible? Yes, we truly can relieve *some* of that pain using nature’s oldest medicine. Comedy!Am I Required to Perform?You will be sharing in small groups of up to 5 people. Comedy Therapy is set up in a very relaxed, low pressure way. Even “shy” people are able to take part! It is not required to perform or share your story with the full group during the Turbo Comedy Therapy course. However, those that are eager to do so may be will be invited to perform at future comedy events.So… if you’ve ever wanted to perform stand up, or simply want to push your boundaries and overcome your fear of public speaking, or simply have a great time and meet some amazing people, Comedy Therapy may be just the thing for you!Who the F is Alex Lasarev?Alex started stand-up comedy in 1997, as a way to process his highly traumatic childhood. (It was cheaper than therapy!) By 23, he was earning a living as a comic. From 2009-2015 Alex accidentally built a global cult following as a men’s dating coach! During this period, Alex discovered that one’s ability to attract amazing connections is in direct correlation to how much someone fully loves and accepts themselves. In 2015 Alex founded the Infinite Man Summit, where he inspired thousands of men to live fearlessly!Alex had his first spiritual awakening in 2009, which was followed by many such experiences for the next decade. His Spiritual journey went “full tilt” after he retired from teaching live dating courses in 2015. In 2016, Alex started the Woke As F**K Podcast, where he interviews beings who are on the path of self realization/self-love/enlightenment.Alex is a prolific content creator and performer, Alex is always creating material and performing.
