theDock is a social enterprise created for community, by community. We provide work and event space, connection, access to learning, and unique events within an inspiring culture. Our overarching vision is a connected and impactful social change sector in Victoria, BC. Impact businesses, community organizations and social entrepreneurs have access to coworking space, offices, meeting rooms and event spaces. Space makes it possible to pilot and test initiatives, bring community together, startup and scale impact.

With the BC Schizophrenia SocietyHosted by Abdul Kareem ShabazzThis workshop, led by Abdul Kareem Shabazz—an Islamic motivational speaker and mental health advocate with lived experience of schizophrenia—is designed to raise awareness and build understanding of schizophrenia in the workplace.Through personal storytelling, education, and interactive dialogue, the session will:<ul><li>Raise awareness and reduce stigma around schizophrenia and other mental health conditions in professional environments.</li><li>Create a safe, inclusive space where employees and employers can engage in open, respectful conversation.</li><li>Connect participants to resources and support services available through the BC Schizophrenia Society (BCSS) and community partnerships.</li></ul>This program emphasizes that with the right supports, individuals living with schizophrenia can thrive, contribute meaningfully, and bring valuable perspectives to the workplace
