Science Slam

Science belongs to everyone. It both influences and is influenced by everyday life. SciCommTO is a not-for-profit group based in Toronto who create and promote events aimed at engaging adults in science. Established in October 2016, SciCommTO develops events primarily in non-traditional formats (i.e. not a lecture). Events are directed by the interests and expertise of our volunteer group or by partnerships with other groups. The volunteer group consists of approximately 70 members from different backgrounds and roles including biology, physics, chemistry, informatics, ecology, palaeontology, sciart, mathematics, tech and bio-engineering. We are all quite geeky about our fields and we like to share our love of our science with other people; SciCommTO is the platform we use to do that.
