Science deals with the facts and truths of the world we live in. Whether our opinions and beliefs align with scientific evidence fundamentally depends on our worldview. What core values that underlie our belief systems? What fears and rewards drive our decision-making? What is our understanding of the scientific process and our perception of scientists? As a collective society, our challenge is to navigate the facts and truths of science within the complexity that defines our beliefs. Come join SPIN in collaboration with Vancouver-based science communicator Alan Shapiro for an interactive workshop and share your thoughts and experiences with us. The information we gather will be used to help us create resources and tools to support more open and evidence-based dialogue within our community. When: June 14th, 2019 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pmWhere: Room 3402, Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health at the University of British Columbia Cost: FREE but registration is required.**This workshop is intended as a respectful and inclusive space.
