Secure Coding Workshop for Developers
Event Information
About this Event
OWASP Ottawa and Secure That Cert! are running a 1-day-long, 100% free, Secure Coding Workshop for Developers on Sunday, November 3rd, 2019 from 10 am until 4:30 pm on the University of Ottawa campus.
Registration through Eventbrite is required for this event. More details will be provided to registrants closer to the event.
The goal of this workshop is to teach you about the most common web application weaknesses before letting you go solve challenges in the OWASP Secure Coding Dojo environment.
Whether you are a computer science student, a junior developer, an application security professional, a senior software engineer or a penetration tester, this workshop will challenge your skills and provide you with an overview of your strengths and weaknesses in secure coding.
Paul Ionescu will be facilitating this hands-on workshop, where all participants will learn how to develop secure code through a fun game and a friendly competition. Paul is a Security Architect at Trend Micro, one of the OWASP Ottawa chapter leaders and the creator and maintainer of the Secure Coding Dojo open source project.
You will need to provide your own laptop for this event. No special tools needed, only a browser.
Lunch will be provided for the workshop.
