Agenda
-
Session 1 - Sept 26, 2026: AI Literacy Workshop for Seniors
Participants will learn the basics of how AI works, how to recognize it, and how to use it effectively and safely. Whether you are new to AI or looking to strengthen your understanding, the AI Literacy Workshop provides a supportive foundation for navigating an increasingly AI-enabled world.
-
Session 2 - Oct 3rd, 2026: Capturing Memories: AI for Memoir & Storytelling
This hands‑on workshop introduces participants to voice‑to‑text tools and conversational AI as supportive writing assistants. Seniors learn how to speak their memories aloud, have the AI organize them into structured chapters, and use guided prompts to help recall meaningful events. By the end, each participant produces a tangible, printed short story or memoir chapter they can share with loved ones.
-
Session 3 - Oct 17, 2026: AI as a Travel Companion & Day-to-day Planner
This module is designed for active seniors who enjoy traveling and want to make trip planning easier, more accessible, and more affordable. Rather than focusing only on itinerary generation, the workshop expands into broader travel‑readiness skills using generative AI. Participants learn how to prompt AI tools for highly specific travel plans (e.g., “Plan a 5‑day trip to Victoria with minimal walking, close to historical sites, under $1000”), use AI for real‑time translation, identify senior‑discounted activities, and navigate unfamiliar transit systems.
