<h3>Sensitive Surface</h3>Opening Reception Sensitive Surface is Ste Marie’s atmospheric response to Snack Sakura, a photographic series by Greg Girard that documents the fading world of Japanese snack bars.Presented at Monte Clark alongside the launch of Girard’s new book Snack Sakura, the installation translates the emotional weight and cinematic quiet of his images into a physical experience, intended to behave more like memory than space.Exhibited alongside this immersive experience is a selection of pictures from Girard’s Snack Sakura series taken in Japan between 2017 and 2025.
