What should I wear?

Most attendees show up in gym clothes. Singlets and wrestling gear are permitted and encouraged. Avoid baggy clothes with deep pockets or sharp objects.

Who attends Grapple Pit events?

Accepted Answer

Grapple Pit open mat events are open to all members of the community. Attendees come from multiple orientations and gender identities. Discrimination of any kind will not be permitted.

Question 3

Can I bring my own mats?

Yes, extra mats are always welcome! Please contact us beforehand to let us know if you will be bringing mats.

Can I bring oil?

To preserve the cleanliness of the mats and facility, oil is not permitted.

Will the venue have showers?

Accepted Answer

No. We recommend bringing a towel and change of clothes.

Will snacks/drinks be provided?

Accepted Answer

Some light refreshments will be provided. We recommend brining your own water bottle.

How do I get to BirdHaus from downtown?

Accepted Answer

From Bloor-Yonge station, take Line 2 Westbound to Dufferin Station. At Dufferin station, walk out onto the street and catch the 29 Bus Southbound (towards Exhibition/Dufferin Gate). Get off at Queen Street West and walk a few blocks to BirdHaus (pink building behind the shawarma shop)
