The London Environmental Network (LEN) builds strong, stable & resilient organizations so they can be more effective at creating positive change over the long term.We are also a doorwayinto the environmental non-profit sector so Londoners can learn about environmental efforts in our city and how they can get involved.

September Green Drinks will be taking place on Thursday, September 13, from 4:30-6:30pm, at Edgar and Joe's Cafe. This event will feature Bob Porter from London Electric Vehicle Association (LEVA), an optional tour of the Goodwill Industries space, door and raffle prize draws, local food and beverages from Edgar and Joe's Cafe, and as always - opportunities to connect with other environmentally-minded individuals. 
Green Drinks is an organic, self-organising network of people interested in talking about environmentally related topics. We hope you can join us to chat with like-minded neighbours, learn more about such an incredible local environmental organization, and connect with other people interested in growing a healthier, more sustainable city! 
Evening Schedule: 
4:30pm - Check-in and Registration 5:15pm - Bob will speak about LEVA  5:40pm - Networking / Optional Tour of Goodwill Industries Building will be departing 6:20pm - Door prize draw & Raffle prize draw
About London Electric Vehicle Association: <A HREF="https://www.londonenvironment.net/london_electric_vehicle_association" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">London Electric Vehicle Association (LEVA)</A> is an active member organization of London Environmental Network. LEVA works to promote and advocate the use of Electric Vehicles (EVs) for their use as a cleaner mode of transportation. They support EV owners & enthusiasts and the education of all parties in the advantages of EV usage. LEVA's President, Bob Porter, will be speaking about the benefits of EVs and share his experience as an EV advocate. His EV will be parked in the Goodwill parking lot for everyone to see!
About the Venue: <A HREF="https://edgarandjoes.ca/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Edgar and Joe's Cafe</A> is a social purpose enterprise of Goodwill Industries. Edgar and Joe’s makes fresh and local food available, affordable and approachable with healthy choices from a wide variety of foods made from scratch with locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. They also work to reduce stigma surrounding mental illness and social disadvantage through dialogue, create work through their partnership with Goodwill Career Centre’s “Hands on Hospitality” program, and gather and strengthen community through partnerships and food. Their full menu of food will be available to purchase at Green Drinks, as well as light vegetarian snack options. Their full selection of drinks will also be available - this includes coffee, lattes, smoothies, Booch - and no alcoholic beverages will be provided (we like to change things up!).
Door Prize & Raffle: Because we like to give you the chance to win free (local, green, and fun) stuff, we will be doing a door prize & raffle again! Each ticket purchase will automatically enter your name into a draw for a chance to win our door prizes.  And because we love active transportation SO much, we are giving an additional door prize ticket to all attendees that have cycled to the venue. Our raffle prizes are kindly donated by businesses that are local, sustainable, and environmentally-conscious - stay tuned for announcements. Raffle tickets are 1 for $3, 2 for $5, and 5 for $10 (cash only), and proceeds will go to London Environmental Network to support our ever-growing work for London's environmental sector. 
Getting There: Like every Green Drinks, we encourage attendees to use active transportation.

In collaboration with our LEN member organizations, we will be organizing community cycling rides to and from the venue. **** stay tuned for updates **** We highly recommend the use of appropriate equipment to keep your cycling experience safe, including a helmet, reflectors, lights, and a lock. There are bike racks outside of the venue. 
Bus Routes: Edgar and Joe's Cafe is very accessible by public transit. Routes #1 and #13 have stops at Wellington & Horton (heading North and South), Route #3 has stops along Horton (heading East and West), and Route #26 has stops along Horton heading East. <A HREF="http://www.londontransit.ca/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Check out the LTC website to map your route.</A>
Carpool: If biking & busing are unavailable options for you, we encourage you to seek out carpooling opportunities. Feel free to post in our Facebook Event Page to ask or offer rides to September Green Drinks!
