We all know the importance of designing for a wide range of people! While there are clear guidelines and approaches to accessibility in the digital world, (e.g. WCAG 2.0), this seems to be less prevalent or considered in the world of Service Design.
What does it mean for people designing services to take accessibility into account holistically at every level of a service - from the physical spaces or products at play, to communications and marketing, to the digital realm? What are some barriers to access that people experience when using everyday services? How might we, as designers ensure that we are considering inclusive design and accessibility from the outset? 
Join us for an evening of conversation starters around designing accessible services, that go beyond the screen!

Our speakers for the evening will cover how they have considered accessibility within their design practice. We are very excited to be joined by Kyrie Vala Webb and Mohsen Mahjoobnia.
Mohsen Mahjoobnia  
I believe in an accessible world for all; accessibility starts from home.  As an alumnus of an Inclusive Design program at OCAD University, my primary research has been focused on accessible homes for each individual from a physical, cultural and design perspective and how to create an inclusive environment for all.
As a Registered Realtor and Accessibility consultant with RE/MAX Ultimate Realty Inc. Brokerage, I specialize in accessible homes. My skills were further enhanced by being part of numerous accessibility projects such as: Disability Rights Promotion International, A&Associates Architects Inc., and Small Business Accessibility: Aha! Axesmap, Taking SickKids Mobile and many more human-centered design related, local and international projects.
Kyrie Vala Webb
Kyrie is a designer who works at Normative design and has just completed the Masters of Inclusive Design at OCAD U. Her interests include design, technology and feminism.
