David, has worked in the agricultural industry for over 20 years in both the private and government sector. His ag career includes operation management of a large OEM manufacturing plant, executive level roles in business development in OEM sales and executive leadership in research and development of small and large machinery platforms and publicly funded ag research initiatives.
David and his wife Christine have three adult age children all alumni of the University of Saskatchewan. He is alumni of both the University of Saskatchewan and Carleton University. He was formally trained as an industrial designer and worked in the auto industry and consumer electronics industry before coming back to Saskatchewan to work in agriculture.
Currently he is the president of a consultancy focused on providing business intelligence on the emerging agtech and entrepreneurship eco-system in Western Canada. He supports federal government programs in upskilling people who are underserved and underrepresented in various industries through domain knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship courses and training.
He is the “Executive in Resident” and sessional lecturer for both the College of Engineering and the College of AgBio at the University of Saskatchewan.
This event should qualify for one and one-half CPD Credits for Formal Activity. A certificate of attendance will be provided.
