Course Overview

The 2024 Research Computing Summer School is offered by Simon Fraser University on behalf of Western Canadian universities and the Digital Research Alliance of Canada. It is organized jointly with the Institute for Neuroscience and Neurotechnology and is hosted by SFU's Big Data Hub. It is open to all academic researchers at SFU, UBC, BCIT and other local post-secondary institutions. Researchers of all levels -- undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs, faculty and staff -- are welcome to register.

All courses will be taught by SFU's Research Computing training team. We will provide guest accounts on our HPC training cluster, but you will need to bring your own laptop if you want to follow along during hands-on exercises. You can attend as many or as few of the courses as you want. Light refreshments such as coffee and tea will be provided.
